A winery and tasting room located in Dundee, Oregon.

The Furioso estate in Oregon’s wine country has been transformed from a collection of utilitarian structures into a unified architectural landmark. The expanded winery is wrapped in a vertical blackened cedar screen, which appears solid during the day and glows with gentle translucence at night. A new tasting room hovers above the vineyard, its open design framing panoramic views while intimate zones offer comfort and privacy. Central to the estate is a breezeway that doubles as a crush pad during harvest season, emphasizing the connection between architecture and the winemaking process. A new hovering roof unifies the silhouette while providing both shelter and visual coherence. Light, air, shade, and water use is carefully considered. Every element melds functionality with a refined, contemporary interpretation of traditional vineyard architecture.

Furioso Vineyards

A reconstructed tasting room and new wine making facility in Templeton, CA.

Sitting delicately upon a historic 143-acre parcel on York Mountain, Epoch Estate Wines’ new Tasting Room reconnects visitors to the origins of the site and is a full restoration of this landscape. The new building maintains the spirit of agrarian structures integrating seamlessly within the landscape. The design scheme brings new life to the original earthquake-damaged winery as the new Tasting Room, with a full reconstruction incorporating original heavy timber, site fired brick materials and a new roof system to streamline the massing.

Epoch Winery

This project transforms a historic warehouse into a modern showroom while honoring the building’s original character. A white-washed timber wall acts as a crafted intervention, revealing and highlighting the warehouse's timber framework through selective demolition and strategic design. The showroom’s neutral palette serves as an understated backdrop for contemporary furnishings, with curved walls and flowing zones distinguishing new elements from the old. Back-of-house functions are subtly integrated into the architecture. Outside, a delicately detailed canopy references local industrial forms yet establishes a distinct identity, framing a new wood storefront and inviting entry. The overall design creates a harmonious dialogue between preservation and innovation, celebrating the warehouse’s history while introducing refined, contemporary elements.

Blu Dot

This 2,500-square-foot Houston restaurant reimagines a 1960s cleaners as an inviting community oasis. The design carves out a landscaped courtyard for sheltered outdoor dining and introduces new openings that frame unique garden views while bathing the interiors in natural light. Inside, thoughtfully arranged banquettes and a central coffee bar enhance the sense of comfort and hospitality. Architectural interventions serve as a refined backdrop to both the vibrant garden and the culinary experience, harmonizing the building’s original character with contemporary sensibilities to create a memorable, welcoming destination.

Vibrant

Situated next to the Kaweah River, this project transforms a former campground into a distinctive hospitality retreat near a national park. Modern Airstreams, safari tents, and well-designed outdoor spaces offer guests a memorable and immersive experience. The clubhouse serves as the central gateway and organizational bar, guiding guests from arrival through a series of communal spaces and amenities. The landscape is thoughtfully arranged as a series of outdoor rooms, with the clubhouse anchoring the site and connecting the arrival area to the accommodation zones, all set around a vibrant amenity lawn with a pool, bathhouse, and event facilities. Site elements were thoughtfully arranged to created outdoor spaces under the oak trees within a network of walking paths.
